Elect-ric Buzz

  • The Swearer Center at Brown University 2 Stimson Avenue Providence, RI, 02912 United States (map)

Join the club to learn all about elections: how are they set up, how do they run, what happens afterwards? Deputy Secretary of State Rob Rock, a 20-year veteran of running elections, will join us to give an overview at the state level. Nick Lima, Director of Elections for the City of Cranston, will give the town/city point of view. And a member of Brown Votes will share experience and information about getting involved as a citizen to encourage voting and protect voter rights.

This is a nonpartisan event. Any and all who want to learn about elections are welcome and encouraged to attend. Bring all your elections questions, concerns, and excitement! Together, we'll learn how elections are baked into the fabric of America and make our democracy run, and how we can make sure it stays that way.

As always, the meeting will begin with a social hour so you can chat with familiar faces and make some new connections. There will be complimentary food and refreshments provided. Check out Rhody Civics Club on facebook or instagram for more information about the organization.

Sponsored by the Rhode Island Working Families Party
